About Open Science Conference
The Open Science Conference 2017 is the 4th international conference of the Leibniz Research Alliance Science 2.0. It is dedicated to the Open Science movement and provides a unique forum where researchers, librarians, practitioners, politicians, and other important stakeholders can discuss and exchange their ideas and experiences.
The thematic focus of this year is on “open educational resources”. Open educational resources include course materials (print and digital), modules, streaming videos, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support open access to knowledge.
OpenUP workshops & conference activities
The EU-funded project OpenUp will organise two workshops dedicated to two important phases of the research lifecycle: peer review and dissemination. The first workshop will focus on the current landscape of peer review and peer review processes under the prism of open movement. The second workshop will be targeted in innovative dissemination and linking dissemination channels and impact assessment. As the number of seats is limited we encourage you to register as soon as possible! You can have an online registration.
In addition, the conference will also host presentations by international experts, a poster session for the accepted project presentations and a panel discussion. In connection with the conference, the European Open Science Policy Platform (OSPP) will meet the day before on 20 March 2017. The OSPP advises the European Commission on how to further develop and practically implement the European Open Science policy. And the Barcamp Open Science will be held on 20 March 2017.
The OpenUP project will also participate in the poster session and we will be happy to meet you there and talk about OpenUP mission, the open movement and more!
